Online Shopping

So there are two incidents related to me about online shopping lately. Well actually, I'm a web designer and I make online stores for small businesses (My Portfolio). But aside from that, my friend ordered a jacket from China and he really didn't like it. It doesn't matter how good the price is, I would like to see, touch, and try on the jacket before I buy it.

The other thing is that I bought a Blackberry Playbook from blackberry.com and I haven't received it yet because so many people are buying it that RIM can't handle the shipping all at once. So, when it comes to my "toys" the moment I pay for it I wanna have it in my hand and I wanna be playing with it right away!

Second thoughts on online shopping?

I want a Blackberry Playbook now!

Last week, the Blackberry Playbook was announced $300 off all models at participating stores like Walmart, Bestbuy, Futureshop, and some others. Within 2 days they were all gone! Frustrated as I was, I had to accept this truth. The successful marketing stunt got me reading and watching videos of reviews about the Blackberry Playbook and now I am hooked. With the Android Player coming out to the Playbook, there will be plenty of apps to use on it, which solves my initial concern when it first came out.

So today I checked on www.blackberry.com as I have a few times a day, everyday, and they are offering the same prices for sale online, directly from blackberry.com. $199 for the 16gb model, $299 for the 32gb, $399 for the 64gb. At these prices, why would you even consider a Kindle Fire or a Kobo Vox? They're E-Readers not powerful tablets for business productivity!

What a day.

I went Canada Computers' new location today in Markham, Ontario, and there is this huge discount event! The whole process took 5 hours because of the amount of people that hoarded the place. I bought 2 X-Mini II mini capsule speakers that I've come to notice, are becoming popular on the web. I wanted to know what the fuss was all about, and I bought 2 of them and tried them out. Turns out they are amazing! Just what I wanted. It is loud enough to give very clear 3D sound with awesome bass for one large room. Now its become my little stereo system as shown here.

 

I used a ipod dock with remote for my ipod nano (5th gen). I definitely recommend these since they are around 20-25 bucks. One could already be enough for nice sound a normal room. I got two since I might want to bring them out sometime to play music at friend's houses or in public.

Next thing, I had an awesome dinner tonight with my good buddies. We had a hot pot at my friend's house for which it is his birthday and he really wanted hot pot for a long time, so I helped him arrange it and prepared the food and necessary equipment. Like the portable butane range and the 2 sided pot and of course the food(t&t). Turned out to be a success and a great time for everyone!
